Full Moons have a theme of culmination and illumination, when we’re confronted with the energy and intention seeded during the New Moon. A Full Moon in this Cancer/Capricorn axis is magnifying the polarity of our desire and need to be taken care of with the need to take care of ourselves, of emotional openness and vulnerably vs emotional constipation (repression/supression), of the comforts of home and family vs our social and societal roles. This Full Moon is conjunct Mars rx which speaks to the importance of cultivating self-leadership and emotional self-regulation, to mature the emotional reactions and attchments to being emotionally dependant on others. The square to Chiron in Aries reiterates this energy, asking us to choose to participate and initiate our healing journey around those issues and the trine/sextile to Uranus is giving us the opportunity to liberate ourselves from how we’ve known ourselves to be in the past and be free from early conditioning. We need to focus on where we are going and where we want to be and dedicate ourselves to the work and process, it’s about re-parenting and coming into deeper self-authority, it’s about being responsible with this human incarnation, it’s about becoming more responsible for our emotions, emotional reactions and emotional needs. We can’t wait around waiting to be saved, we have to save ourselves.

Venus in Pisces last quarter square to Jupiter in Gemini
The Full Moon themes are still strong today and with the Moon’s entrance into Leo we’re more attuned to and maybe stuck within our emotional subjective reality and all its dramas. The Venus/Jupiter last quarter square is asking us trust ourselves and the higher plan and process. Info and opinions are abounding but when we hear the truth it feels different, it come from within us not from outside. Mars rx in Cancer also speaks to self-trust, trusting that we will be ok and we can take care of ourselves and withstand the currents of life. The potential for emotional outbursts and reactivity is high today if we can’t find our centre in self-trust and self-love, but it’s a Mars day and we’re called to make choices and participate and there’s value and knowledge from mistakes.

As the Sun meets Mars in opposition today that marks the halfway point and peak of Mars’ rx cycle. This aspect can highlight the tension of our process of becoming aware of where we’ve been emotionally insecure/immature/reactive and therefore need to cultivate more self-control and self-agency and self-regulation over our emotional bodys. How can we move about safety in the world while also feeling the visceral immediacy of emotional experiences? How can we cultivate the strength to deal with out emotions in a more healthy and regulated way? How can we move through these waters and process our emotions? How can we better tend to our emotional natures? These are important questions to keep in mind on this Mercury day. Mercury in Capricorn is trying to define our responsibilities and doesn’t want to waste time, it’s focused on the work and today the work is taking care of ourselves.
