Virgo - Pisces Nodal Axis
From now until mid July of 2026 the nodal axis will be in the Signs of Pisces/Virgo. For reference the last time we had this nodal axis was from June 2006-Jan 2008. During this time though the North Node ruler, Neptune, will not only be moving signs (from Pisces to Aries) but he is also meeting both Saturn and the North Node in conjunctions this year and because Neptune is ruler of NN we’re keeping close eyes on him for the evolutionary themes this year, both personal and collective.
Both Pluto and the Nodes are critical when we are analyzing evolutionary transitions, we look to the Nodes for the apparent issues and hone into their planetary rulers for the actual issue’s of our growth and development. North Node in Pisces ruled by Neptune in Pisces, who will enter Aries for a bit this year and South Node in Virgo ruled by Mercury who will transit the whole zodiac and employ it’s routine 3 retrograde cycles a year.
First let’s look at the South Node in Virgo, ruled by Mercury. The South Nodes represents our attachments to what is known and familiar. When the SN is transiting a specific sign and house in a chart it’s showing issues that we could be reliving and resolving and an identity pattern that we’re outgrowing, something of the past is being brought to a head. With the SN being in Virgo, it’s about discerning what can we control vs what do we need to just accept. It’s finalizing unresolved and unfinished business, it’s checking for sloppiness and inaccuracies, Virgo is all about self-adjustment and self-correction. Crisis will abound is we continue to hide in denial and escapism, neglecting the important details. The denial, procrastination and avoidance is easy when we tell ourselves that we’re not good enough, there is too much to be done, don’t know where to start, we’re already so behind, blah blah excuses. The lesson is to not worry about results or outcome and to just move and correct yourself as you go, it’s the about process and not perfection, it’s about clarifying and correcting. The South Node also can bring things to fruition, this could be a time when all your hard work, planning, improvement and attention to details pays off and you can start to reap the rewards and be given the opportunities to take it further. It could also be a fruition of efforts from a past life. Virgo can point to where we feel like a damn mess, where we need fixing and refinement, where we feel like something is wrong with us. This is going to be a period of time of collective and personal healing, of taking the steps and doing the work of self-improvement. At a point you realize that you don’t need to suffer this much and it’s an inner shift. As Mercury is ruling the South Node it’s a mental journey, re-learning and re-knowing ourselves in a more authentic and soulful way.
The transiting North Node shows where we can go and what the future can be once we allow the past to be the past, it’s our future trajectory, it’s our evolutionary North Star. The North Node is ruled by Neptune who is currently at the end of Pisces which means it’s currently in a balsamic phase moving towards the conjunction. I’ll touch on that meeting of the NN and Neptune first; it’s showing the evolutionary theme of forgiveness, unity, healing and a return to source. It’s a process of disillusionment, loss of meaning and feeling stuck and confused. This process is also teaching us trust and surrender, understanding that life is not a punishment but it is all curated for us and our greatest good. It’s a deepening of faith during a potentially dark, scary, confined, meatless and confused time. We’re focusing our energy to find more meaning in this human experience. The North Node in Pisces journey is about trusting and surrendering to things out of our control and trusting that there is meaning and purpose beyond what we can understand. It’s a journey of forgiveness and acceptance of ourselves and others, it’s turning toward this interconnectedness, forgiving all our illusions and delusions prevalent in this world. We’re learning to give love and grace and we’re entering this healing womb beyond our comprehension. But again this comes with so much disillusionment and meaningless if we’ve put too much stock and value into temporal things. The emptiness, futility, confusion and defeatism are signs showing us where the shift needs to happen.
As I mentioned earlier the signs housing the Nodes show apparent issues and we’re looking at transiting Mercury and Neptune to clarify the actual issues so i’ll be covering those weekly in the upcoming forecasts, specifically on Wednesdays our Mercury Days.
