On this Moon day we have a mutual reception between Mars entering Cancer and the Moon in Aries. Those two archetypes together can easily be emotionally reactive and immature, childish immediacy of security needs being met. Looking at the whole picture though, the nodes at the critical culminative degrees of 0* Libra/Aries and their rulers, Mars and Venus, are in new signs that are both water so it’s a emotional culmination, especially on this Moon Day. South Node Libra, ruled by that Venus in Pisces, we’re extra desiring unconditional love and acceptance and approval and maybe it’s extra disillusioning when it either doesn’t happen or when it does it still feels empty, or maybe it’s about forgiveness. Mars in Cancer, ruler of North Node in Aries, we have to learn to take of ourselves and meet our own needs and cultivate emotional self-regulation. Mars is on his Retrograde cycle and now back in Cancer until April 19. Especially being rx, this is a very emotionally subjective time where we could easily be acting out every instcitual emotional reaction when things don’t go our way, and this is not a time period where things are going smoothly. With the gibbous phase inconjunct to Mercury today I think we’re being called to slow down and adjust, to think before we react or maybe today we have some immature reactions that insight some thoughtfulness about how we would like to respond better in the future. We’re learning how to nurture ourselves in this uncomfortable time of unknowns and change and it’s a process. Mars in Cancer ruling the North Node at 0* Aries, there’s also some healthy selfishness we can develop, filling our cup before we fill others, being autonomous rather than agreeable, and finding the courage to be vulnerable.

Mercury is Capricorn in general has us thinking and gathering info about "right and wrong”, our duties/ commitments/ responsibilities, expectations of authority, being in control, what we’re trying to achieve or find success in, our ambitions, ect. This energy square the nodal axis can feel like a push and pull between suppressing ourselves/our needs for acceptance/approval and making the choice to employ self-leadership and self-authority to act for ourselves. The Sun/Chiron last quarter square today reinforces this energy encouraging us to do the work and put in the effort to initiate the healing of that masculine wounding of force/agression, of taking the lead and being in charge, of taking up room and speaking up for ourselves (or others), of going for what we want. Venus is Pisces is ruling the South Node at 0* Libra, the final full day of this year and a half process of reliving and rethinking all the Libra stuff. In general, Venus is Pisces is dreamy and romantic, existing beyond the veil, unbound from the doldrums of this reality that holds nothing but dissilutionment. Venus in Pisces is cultivating a relationship to source and to the infinity of our own being. Everything can feel very empty during this time if we’re putting to much value and meaning into temporal things, or maybe it’s the opposite and your in a full blown hedonistic pleasure of flesh and materialism phase. It’s also a time of love, compassion, empathy, forgiveness and we can also sense the undercurrents, hear what isn’t spoken, the vibes are louder.
