The New Moon is ruled by Saturn in Pisces, who has been teaching us the lesson of being more realistic and mature about our ideals and expectations, learning discrimination and responsibility to co-create life to make our dreams corporeal and coming into more self-authority around our spirituality. He has also been in a lingering t-square with Mercury and Jupiter, a crisis in action prodding us to do the work and take the steps to make life as we want it, be responsible with our current existence, take that authority in life rather than wasting away being depressed and disillusioned with how things are. That transfers over to the theme of this New Moon in Capricorn, planting the seeds for our long term plans, dedicate ourselves to putting in the effort to save ourselves.

Mars is in a full phase with Pluto, retrograding back to exact opposition later this week before moving back in Cancer. Mars rx in Leo has been helping us hone into our true desires and creative purpose/potential and cultivate the courage to go for it, the Pluto opposition is there to help us get un-stuck and evolve our desires, have the courage to do something new and know ourselves in a new way. With Mercury/Chiron aspect today it’s encouraging us to think of new ways to express the masculine Aries energy of claiming our lives and using self-assertion and self-leadership to blaze our own trail, to take up space and be heard declaring our intent and our will.

Mercury exits their shadow period tomorrow, we’re regaining clarity and moving past the disorientation from the past month of the Mercury/Jupiter opposition. Still with the disseminating phase trine with Chiron yesterday we’re learning how to speak up for ourselves, express our truths and beliefs, ask for what we need, and the freedom to think for ourselves. Still no map for the journey but now we’re starting to realize how much we’ve learned along the way. The Moon in Aquarius with Venus’ last full day there as well, we’re able to take that objective withdrawal to really see our stories playing out and see it for what it is without the fog of the super subjective emotional experience and maybe then we can see where we’ve been stuck and where we can liberate ourselves.

Jupiter is still retrograde till early February so we’re still in this process of refining and readjusting our belief structures, and with Jupiter being rx in Gemini it’s a universal experience of re-learning our truth as well and it has us all struggling with finding linear and logical words and sentence structures to communicate what we know and that is because what we know is evolving, it’s a journey of re-learning for greater self-knowledge and understanding. The Pluto/Mars opposition is strong today, increasing the me or us vs them and with today being a Jupiter day and the current realm of the internet we can always find others who think like us or believe what we believe and there is always someone who will be in disagreement. Maybe it’s about staying or going, trust your instincts! With Venus entering Pisces tonight I think the message of this is universal love, beyond disagreements we can employ a transcendental appreciation of all subjective human experiences, we’re all in this together.

With the Venus ruling the South Node in Libra, also at 0, we have this feeling of relational culmination as we’re at the end of this process of evolving our known ways of being in relationship, specifically all the ways we’ve been compromising ourselves from our need to be accepted. The North Node of Aries, again at the culminating 0, ruled by Mars in Leo who is opposing Pluto, we are could be dealing with the fear of self-actualization and it’s easier to blame others for our feeling stuck than claiming our confidence to participate with evolution. We’re working on self trust, following our gut instincts. Sun in Capricorn rules the Mars in Leo, we need to take responsibility for our purpose and do the work to cultivate it, we need to use our time meaningfully. Now that Venus is in Pisces she closing into this balsamic phase with Saturn, we need to face our relationship agreements and insert boundaries and clarification and really look at what’s working and what isn’t.

The Pluto/Mars opposition is still strong today, Mars in Leo ruled by Cap sun in aspect to Saturn on this Saturn’s day, a heavy focus on cultivating self-trust and self-authority to help us participate with all the opportunities for change as well as the need to develop discipline and really focus on using our time and efforts meaningfully. Saturn is also in balsamic phase to Neptune, so there this dissolving of temporal meaning for a higher meaning and really of all our conditioning. It’s like you’ve been going to school for 10 years to be some specific thing and all your time and effort has been dedicated to this achievement and it feels empty. Especially with the Pluto/Mars opposition, it’s really calling us to take charge of life and find the higher meaning and our higher purpose. It could all have us feeling depressed, stuck and weak as well. We can’t expect for life to just work out, we need to guide and shape it ourselves.
