I think that today we can utilize this Moon to have the bravery to acknowledge and face our perceived shortcomings and then as she moves into taurus we can simplify the issues and be honest with ourselves. Its like events, inner or outer, happen and initiate or reanimate the lessons and then while moon is in Taurus in the eve we can ground and turn inward and slow down a bit to emotionally integrate the meanings. Tuesday 5/7 MARS DAY

So we have a New Moon in Taurus today that is separating a degree from a sextile with Saturn. Mundane astrology would say stuff like, “Good day to make money” or “Feeling out new beginnings!” In evolutionary astrology we go deeper into the how’s and why’s of each planetary happening. So let’s look at thats been happening, we had eclipse season and the Jupiter Uranus conjunction last month and then both nodal rulers switched signs last week. Whens looking for personal and collective growth within the chart we are always looking at Pluto and then the nodes and their nodal rulers. So Pluto is in Aquarius, mars just moved into Aries (Ruler of NN in Aries) and Venus just moved into Taurus (Ruler of Libra SN). With Pluto in Aquarius there is a collective growing desire for liberation and freedom from this known authoritative and conditioned reality structure. Libra South Node is working on reliving and releasing relationship attachments to ourselves and others balanced by Aries North Node encouraging us to stand up for ourselves and develop a stronger autonomy and more independence. As Venus, SN ruler, has moved into Taurus the value of continuity and comfort is stronger making it more difficult to navigate growth situations but thankfully the cosmic plan has Mars, the NN ruler, in Aries which increases our Desire for self-discovery and become more independent and assertive and increases the instinctual desire that will keep us in this path of growth. Now we put this Taurus New moon into the astro mix that is also in a harmonious sextile to Saturn, I think today we have the opportunity to slow down and stabilize. Taurus (and Venus) can symbolize our inner resources, maybe today we can discover our innate ability that helps us not only survive but thrive. The Taurus archetype can also help us understand how to make live worth living, the simple pleasures. With this sextile to Saturn in Pisces maybe part of it is our faith, when one has a secure faith in the cosmic plot we have the trust to keep participating. Theres another side to taurus though, the frog in the well, closing in your world to maintain safety and security, but that also suffocates growth. The key may be the Aries Mars today, following the instinctual drives and desires, that originate from our Souls (Pluto), and work on discovering what we truly want. Our wants have changed but do we get it yet? Trial and error, action and reaction. What still feels good? What doesn’t feel good anymore?

Moon in Taurus, conjuncting Uranus and Jupiter and sextile Neptune in morning before moving into Gemini at 7:20pm EST and moving to trine Aquarius Pluto late eve.
On this Mercury day we have Mercury in a new phase with Chiron and in semisextile balsamic phase with Uranus. So Mercury and Chiron are in a new relationship of discovering, through action and reaction, new ways of relating to and working with our wounds around being alone and independent, making choices for ourselves, being confrontational, asserting ourselves. Then this balsamic semisextile with Mercury and Uranus is asking us to, however irritating it might be, to surrender to a higher plan and release control of what we think we know. This could look like repeating experiences and dynamics that need to be thoughtfully approached in a new way to bring about resolution before the new phase occurs. Detach and reflect about the deeper meanings and cooperate with the energy at play. As the moon moves into Gemini, it is encouraging these thought processes.

Jupiter in new phase with Uranus just flying through the end of Taurus it seems before he enters Gemini on the 25th of this month. With only lunar aspects from Gemini to Aries, yes we are expanding resources and initiating a new relationship to a more liberated value and belief system but today it could have the flavor of instinctual verbal reactions, but maybe they’ve changed somehow? Maybe your standing in line and someone steps in front of you and your known instinctual reaction is to avoid confrontation and continue on but today you word vomit, “Hey excuse me, you just cut me in line!” And it throws all parties off guard but ya roll with it and it’s invigorating and interesting and now you keep thinking about where that bravery came from and how good it felt to speak up.
