Could be a slow start to the work week, Taurus moon just wants to chill at home enjoying the daily pleasures. Feed yourself a good nourishing breakfast, wear something comfy. Then right before lunch the Moon meets Uranus and we could feel shocked out of our comfy rut or could feel a kind of emotional liberation from our security needs. So much mental stimulation in the chart, Taurus Moon helped us stay grounded but Uranus remind us theres no growth in continuity. So we have Venus in a first quarter trine to Chiron. Venus in Leo is cultivating our relationship to our creative purpose, valuing our vitality, wanting to be seen/loved/validated, a heavy focus on the self. Chiron in Aries is bringing up our personal and collective wounding around ideas of power, being in charge, taking action, making decisions. Within this first quarter trine its about embracing the energy and choosing to work with transit. Also being a Mars day, we’re being asked to particle with the unfoldment of life. Moon in Gemini, we’re curious and looking to expand our known definitions to things, just need to know more. All that being said, I think today its part of the process to be open to new ways of self expression. Mercury in Virgo is gathering information about things that need to be improved and/or adjusted. It could be a self defeating criticism and constant analyzation or straight up denial strengthened by staying busy. It’s knitting, embroidery, painting, pottery and shoot all kinds of manual labor, using your hands to pay attention to the small details. Mercury in Virgo is making lists, getting the brain organized. The Jupiter in Gemini theme is about expanding our known definitions and our subjective truths, questioning all we’re been told and taught, knowing ourselves in more depth, increased curiosity about life in general. But on this Jupiter day the Moon is in Cancer, so we could be embracing the insecurity that come along with questioning our truth and beliefs or we could keep our thoughts in a more safe mental terrain. We could put the focus on learning more about our ancestral roots or simply our emotional realities.

On this Venus day she is meeting Uranus in a first quarter square. The intention of the conjunction (which took place May 18th of this year) was to liberate us from attachments to ways of being in relationship with ourselves and others. So at this first quarter phase we could experience a kind of crisis in implementing the intent set within the conjunction. This could be an inner confrontation, which is stressed by the moon being in Cancer. Venus and Uranus expect us to indulge this uncomfortable growth while the Cancer Moon is like nah lets stay in a safe and familiar zone. But also you could look at it like the Cancer Moon is allowing us to nurture ourselves and this experience and helping us emotionally regulate ourselves while we encounter growing pains.

Its also the last day of Venus being in Leo so there could be an emotional identification with where we need more love and play in our relationships, where we need to be seen, our passions and purpose and also it could bring in the theatrics.

But on this Saturn day, lets remember the latent but important energy of Saturns transit through Pisces and that we’re in this process of maturing and being more realistic with our expectations for ourselves and others. It can look like disillusionment and reality checks sometimes but it’s for our greatest good. It can also look like empathy and unconditional love, accepting things as they are. With all the Leo stuff happening today though I think Saturns day would be well spent putting time and energy into something that makes our hearts full, something we’re passionate about.

Happy Leo New Moon! New Moons are conjunctions of the Sun and Moon so it’s about a new phase, setting intentions, starting anew. In Leo it’s about what enflames our lust for life, our creative purpose, our passions.  Mercury is at a standstill as they go retrograde just after midnight so that energy added in feels like we gotta slow down and pay attention to the long game like to what adjustments and improvements need to be made to ensure the path forward.   Thats also reinforced by Venus entering Virgo this eve, there’s a need for adjustments and improvements in our relationships to ourselves and others. It’s a reminder also that details need to be attended to, the small things need to be addressed.
