Monday 9/23 MOON DAY

Moon in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces, conjunct Jupiter in Gemini and sextile Chiron in Aries

Yesterday we had a big energy change as the Sun left the humbling abode of Virgo to the relationship sphere of Libra and Venus entered her depths of Scorpio. As the Moon is in Gemini today, we are trying to emotionally integrate the experiences of the past week on a mental level, trying to find the meaning and point to it all, trying to understand it and figure out where to go from here. Ask questions (to yourself and others), journal about it, pull some cards. Share you experience, get some outside input. We’re in Libra season now so yes we are consciously working on our relationships with others but also ourselves. Now that Venus is in Scorpio we can take it deeper, talk about your fears and compulsions, your deepest desires. We can only meet others in the same depths that we can meet ourselves.

Mars is going to be in Cancer for the better part of the next 8 months thanks to his retrograde cycle and Mars is always important to follow as he shows where we are continuously becoming, acting out desires from our souls, making decisions and participating with daily life. Ive said before the most basic intent of Mars in Cancer is to become emotionally self-sufficient, to learn to meet our own emotional needs. Mars is also ruler of the current North Node in Aries giving him extra weight of importance. But essentially we’re all desiring to be comforted and taken care of while Mars is in Cancer, put that on blast as the Moon enters Cancer this morning. We’re all more prone to chilling emotional outbursts and tantrums while Mars is in Cancer when we arnt getting those emotional needs met. As today has the potential to be very emo, have grace and patience with yourselves and others, we’re all subject to this instinctual emotional reactivity. With the first quarter trine with Mercury and Uranus today is about liberating our mind (how we learn, communicate, make mental mapping and associations, the labels/names we give things). This transit can allow us to make new metal connections as we’ve outgrown the old ones but with all this Cancer energy it could be an uncomfortable process. It could also feel liberating and freeing. We want to hold on to all that is known and safe but thats not where growth happens. Today we can enlist the help of Mars to aid in taking care of and nurturing ourselves while we encounter any challenges.

On this Mercury day we have Mercury opposing Neptune in Pisces so it’s our rational, logical, liner thinking polarized by the surrendering, dreamy, imaginative and boundless realm of everything and nothing. How can we see the magic in the mundane? How can we release the mental order to let in some inspiration? How can we balance holding our to-do list while surrendering to the beauty and connection around us? How can we be open to god while going about our daily routines? Today would be a good day to dedicate some time and effort to our artistic and/or spiritual endeavors. We could use the mental planning of Mercury and the inspirational creative sea of Neptune to find ourself somewhere beautiful. To all my mystics out there, today we could find a deep connection to source through whatever rituals you practice. Today could also just have us oscillating between freaking out about the details, all the shit we need to do, all the shit that’s wrong and just indulging in escapism. Jupiter is slowing down and hanging out at 21* Gemini until he stations rx in a couple weeks. With the Cancer Moon and Venus in Scorpio emotions are strong and we’re trying to feel our way through our emotional and psychological depths while keeping monitoring them. The morning starts out with Mercury trine Pluto in the Earth signs Virgo and Capricorn, trying to get our shit together kind of energy, need for planning and order and control. Then Mercury enters Libra and our thoughts become more “other” focused. Jupiter in Gemini day so our inner dialogue is loud and being ruled by Mercury our brains are trying to gather and digest info about comparison and contrast or if we’re being appreciated and accepted by others. With Venus in Scorpio and Mercury in Libra, it could be deep and vulnerable conversations with others, trying to face our own attachments in relationships. All in all we could get to know ourselves and others on a more profound and chasmic level today. In the eve when the Moon enters Leo it could get a bit theatric or we could really allow ourselves to be seen by someone we trust today.

Our first Venus day with her residing in Scorpio! We’re all Inanna descending into the underworld/unconscious of Ereshkigal to have our fixed attachments stripped from us while we hang naked from her meat hooks (pardon my theatrics lol the moon’s in Leo dangit). But for real, Venus is Scorpio is trying to penetrate the depths of our existence through intense self-examination. We’re trying to find the nature of our motivations, intentions, attachments, fears and desires. Venus in Scorpio values self-knowledge on a deep emotional and psychological level. On the other hand there’s an intense fear of abandonment and betrayal and really vulnerability. Considering all the Libra energy today and the Leo Moon, I think we could have some tumultuous encounters, either beautiful or scary, in our relationships today. We could be dishonest and manipulative if we’re afraid to show our emotional and psychological depths or we could have a very raw, open and vulnerable experience with someone we love and trust.

On Saturn’s day, especially being rx still through Pisces, we’re working on the themes of accepting ourselves and life for what it is, a kind of self accountability for where we are at and where we want to be. We’re also working on our maturity and self-responsibility, releasing delusional expectations and ideals for ourselves and others. With the Sun conjunct the South Node today and Venus semi-sextiling them both from Scorpio we’re being called to face these relationship attachments around fawning and giving up our power and our need to be pleasing and acceptable to others. With Venus in Scorpio and Saturn in Pisces we can have a more realistic view of these unconscious factors motivating us, a bit of a reality check today facing our psychological limmitations and fixations.
